Garlic and Herb Grilled Korean Kalbi Beef Short Ribs

Ingredients:

  • 4 lbs Korean-style beef short ribs (kalbi)
  • 4 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh ginger
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh green onion
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Wooden skewers, soaked in water for 30 minutes

Instructions:

  1. In a large bowl, mix together the garlic, ginger, green onion, soy sauce, sesame oil, honey, salt, and pepper.
  2. Add the beef short ribs to the bowl and toss to coat well. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or overnight.

  • 1 tbsp chopped fresh green onion
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes

Korean dipping sauce instructions:

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, rice vinegar, honey, sesame oil, ginger, garlic, green onion, and red pepper flakes.
  2. Serve the Korean dipping sauce with the grilled beef short ribs.
