Garlic and Herb Grilled Malaysian Curry Beef Skewers

  • 2 lbs beef sirloin, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 4 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh ginger

  • 1 tbsp curry powder
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Wooden skewers, soaked in water for 30 minutes


  1. In a large bowl, mix together the garlic, ginger, lemongrass, soy sauce, curry powder, honey, salt, and pepper.
  2. Add the beef sirloin cubes to the bowl and toss to coat well. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or overnight.
  3. Preheat the grill to high heat.
  4. Thread the beef sirloin cubes onto the skewers, making sure to pierce through the meaty parts.

  1. In a small saucepan, heat the coconut milk and Malaysian curry powder over medium heat.
  2. Simmer for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sauce thickens and the flavors are well-combined. 3. Remove from heat and stir in the lime juice and chopped cilantro.
  3. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  4. Serve the Malaysian curry sauce on the side with the grilled beef skewers.
